BIG LAKE @ ISLAND PARK

Timberlake Community Club (or Timberlakes/Timberlake CC) has 2 lakes at the heart of the community and 6 parks sprinkled throughout. Most parks border one of the lakes, and each park has its own unique beauty and amenities, ranging from play equipment to a basketball court, a baseball field, and disc golf holes; others have gazebos, picnic tables, and more.

Both lakes have a boat launch and are meticulously stocked each year with a diverse range of fish, including perch, bream, bluegill, and rainbow trout. There are restroom facilities at both ends of Big Lake and at Cedar Park. (Keys are available for members at the office inside the MPC). All parks and lakes within Timberlake Community Club are for private use for members and their guests only.

Timberlake Community Club (Timberlake CC) was founded in 1966 as a private HOA designed as a place to gather with friends and family centered around the common enjoyment of outdoor recreation. Nestled just 20 minutes from the town of Shelton, our community offers a wonderful place of leisurely relaxation with a litte something for everyone!

ISLAND PARK

The membership also has exclusive access to our private saltwater park at Pickering Passage, just a 10-minute drive away. The park has picnic tables and BBQs to enjoy with your company, and a private parking lot and boat launch for ease of use, all behind a secure gate, where you can safely store your trailer while you adventure out on the sound, take in the scenery, and go boating, crabbing, or fishing. The Puget Sound offers some of the PNW’s finest clams and oysters, too!

Big Timberlake (or Big Lake) is known for its great fishing, boating, water sports, and swimming, with Timber Park and a swimming area on one end and bridge access to Island Park, including a gazebo and event area at the other, which is right across from a marshy wetlands area full of wildlife to observe.

Little Timberlake is a smaller, quaint lake that is known for non-motorized boating, fishing, and swimming.

A TINY ISLAND ON LITTLE LAKE

At Timberlake CC, we share our home with a multitude of wildlife such as deer, beavers, otters, opossums, raccoons, and a wide variety of birds, like geese, loons, herons, ducks, eagles, etc. Thousands of acres of Green Diamond forestlands surround Timberlake Community Club. Green Diamond generously allows public access to their land, but we have the privilege of our own entrance from within the community, allowing easy access for exploration on foot or by ATV.

Timberlake Community Club isn’t just for nature enthusiasts, though; we have something to offer for everyone! The Activities Committee hosts a multitude of free, engaging members-only events for the whole community to enjoy, like our annual Fishing Derby, Taco Tuesday, Pasta night, Egg Hunt, Ice Cream Social, Craft Bazaar, 4th of July Annual Community Garage Sale, and our Annual Community Meeting with food, fun, and much more!

We often host events at one of our parks or at our Multi-Purpose Center (the MPC), where many of our community, board, and committee meetings are also held. The MPC is also available on a first-come, first-served basis for members to reserve to host their own private events.

Head to our Events or News pages to check out a bit of our history and see what awaits you!
